CALL TO AUDITION:
HUBRIS AND HUMILIATION
BY LEWIS TRESTON
A gaudy and bawdy reimagining of the classic Austen-era love story. Eschewing the well-trodden country estates and flowy dresses of the regency era, Lewis Treston’s hilarious send-up serves us sequins, sparkling wine, and shenanigans!
When a mother loses her home to an unscrupulous suitor of the online variety, she sends her favourite (and only) son to find and marry the richest man he can find. Hilarious hijinks and class satire ensue, in this fabulous tale of modern love and queerness.
