CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) and NEW THEATRE

We’re back!!

As public health restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic continue to ease, we’ve reopened our doors and look forward to welcoming audiences again, to delight in the ‘shared experience’ of live theatre.

Our final production for 2020 is Picnic at Hanging Rock, Tom Wright’s acclaimed adaptation of Joan Lindsay’s classic mystery novel, 17 November – 19 December:

New Theatre is a COVID Safe Business and protocols are in place to protect our audiences, cast, crew, staff, and volunteers.  In accordance with NSW Public Health guidelines, our permitted audience numbers have increased to 50% capacity per performance, however demand for tickets is very strong, so book early to avoid disappointment.

We will continue to update the website as things progress, and you can sign up below for our eNews to receive updates direct to your inbox every fortnight.

We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of people who have given us financial support through donations large and small, and we are deeply grateful. We also must thank the NSW state government and the City of Sydney, both of which have given us grants to assist with our survival.

If you have any further questions, please contact Gemma, our Theatre Manager, on 02 9519 3403 / manager@newtheatre.org.au
